The best decision a newly engaged couple can make is to reach out to a professional wedding planner as soon as possible after their engagement. One Fine Day Events will help you see the bigger picture of the day. We do not act as a guest, and our job is to ensure the event runs smoothly, providing convenience and peace of mind. By hiring a professional wedding planner right after your engagement, you will save time and unnecessary stress.
DO YOU CATER TO ALL RELIGIONS?
We do cater to all religions. At One Fine Day Events, our mission is to help you with your celebration, the registrar/officiant, and the paperwork required to fulfill your religious wedding in Virginia or beyond.
CAN WE BOOK A CONSULTATION WITH YOU PRIOR TO BOOKING?
One Fine Day Events offers all our clients a complimentary consultation. On our first meeting, we will provide you with an overview of our company and our philosophy, how we work and what you can expect from us; we will discuss how we approach our design, planning, pricing, and coordination options. We will then discuss your vision, asking questions about what you are looking for and your expectations. Consultations are for your benefit and are most effective when they are highly interactive - we encourage you to ask as many questions as you wish! We do not request that you book on the spot unless you know we are the right fit! We want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decision to work with us. We genuinely want you to choose One Fine Day Events with complete faith in our ability to produce and deliver your dream wedding day!

WHY SHOULD YOUR RECEPTION VENUE COME WITH A COORDINATOR, DO WE STILL NEED A WEDDING PLANNER?
To answer your questions and assist you with your venue layout, venue coordinators work for the venue. If you require further assurance about the specifics of your wedding location, they are someone you may contact. The venue, on the other hand, is their loyalty. Some of the small aspects of your wedding that they are not responsible for. Having a wedding planner means that you can be sure that all of the details will be handled for you.
WHERE DO YOU PLAN WEDDINGS?
One Fine Day Events has been working on weddings and cultivated events for years in Virginia. That being said, there is no place we wouldn’t follow our clients to make their vision a reality.
IS THERE A MINIMUM BUDGET OF WEDDINGS YOU WORK ON?
From intimate elopements for just the bride and groom to huge celebrations, we are a top wedding planning firm that specializes in all kinds of weddings. The budget we work with is far less important than the fact that it is realistic for your needs and preferences. There are limits to how cost-effective we can make things for you, but we will always strive to make them as cost-effective as possible for you. Our team will notify you if something isn't possible at your preferred price point and offer alternative and suitable alternatives instead.
DO YOU WORK WITH SPECIFIC VENUES / CONTRACTORS / VENDORS?
No, the simple response is. We are willing to listen if you're looking for a location that isn't on our suggested vendor list, or if you have a suggested supplier in mind. Remember, this is YOUR day and YOUR vision. Our suggested venues and vendors/suppliers have all been tried and proven, which is a benefit when working with them. We only recommend them with the utmost confidence, given that we have not worked with them before. We are, however, always eager to collaborate with new venues and businesses as long as our customers are satisfied with their choice.
WHAT ADDITIONAL TYPES OF EVENTS DO YOU SERVICE?
Although, our main focus in on weddings, we work on Lifestyle events, Baptisms, Milestones, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Bachelor Parties, Corporate Events, Branding Celebrations and non-religious ceremonies.
HOW MUCH COMMUNICATION WILL WE RECEIVE?
Emails, phone calls, and messages are all responded to promptly. We have a strict policy for that. Within 24-48 hours of receiving a message, we will respond.
WILL YOU BE PRESENT ON MY WEDDING DAY?
Absolutely, after months of preparation, we want to be there on the day, not just to witness the beauty of everything come together but also to make sure you can settle in and have a wonderful time, knowing that we are ready to assist should anything go wrong. Your wedding planner, together with at least one/two helpers, will personally attend your wedding.
WE WOULD LIKE TO HOST PRE/POST WEDDING EVENT, CAN YOU HELP?
Absolutely. That is definitely the case. A pre/post wedding event is something we always recommend; a relaxed pizza party, poolside BBQ, evening on the beach, or authentic wine tasting afternoon are just some of our suggestions. The joy of a wedding is that your guests come to celebrate with you for more than a day. Our service may also be customized to fit your wedding at home if you desire to host a pre/post wedding event.
DO YOU CHARGE AN HOURLY RATE, A FLAT RATE OR A PERCENTAGE OF OUR OVERALL WEDDING BUDGET? AND DO YOU HAVE A RETAINER FEE TO SECURE YOUR WEDDING PLANNING SERVICE?
For our customized wedding planning service, we charge a flat fee. To secure our wedding planning and design services, a retainer fee is required. Prior to signing a contract, we'll create a fee schedule that's tailored to your needs.
HOW MANY ASSISTANTS WILL ATTEND ON MY WEDDING DAY?
Depending on the size of your event, our wedding planner and at least one assistant will be there. More employees will be hired if you have multiple sites or if your guests are bigger.
DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE MEALS TO THE WEDDING PLANNING TEAM?
The planner meal at the reception is much welcomed since a wedding might easily stretch over 10-12, and even 14 hours. We, on the other hand, are there for professional reasons and will not consume any alcohol or join your guests at the bar or on the dance floor.
DO YOU DRESS UP FOR A WEDDING?
In terms of your event's dress code, all wedding planners and helpers will wear professional attire for weddings.
IS YOUR COMPANY INSURED?
Yes, we are! We know how important this is for any business, especially in this industry. More and more venues and professionals are requiring proof of business liability insurance and we can easily provide that those that need it.
